If you’re planning to run the Bear 100, this will give you a small taste of what you will experience there. You’ll witness beautiful scenery, including mountain views, river crossings, snow, single-track trails, and even some cows. ;) This has become a yearly family favorite, and although I’ve always managed to come in last in my group, I feel that this low-tech, homegrown trail race has become one of my favorites. The trail markings are good, the staff is awesome, and the aid stations are sufficiently stocked with goodies. The finish line is family-friendly, where you can enjoy food, drinks, and cheers. I highly recommend this fun trail race.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Logan Race, having participated in both 2024 and 2025. It’s an event I would gladly run year after year, as it offers a perfect combination of scenic beauty, well-organized logistics, excellent aid stations, and a welcoming community. The race features a predominantly single-track trail with enjoyable switchbacks, making it both challenging and fun. Additionally, the timing of the race near my birthday adds to the excitement of the experience. That said, there are sections of the trail where the heat can be intense, but the opportunity to cool off by a few rivers along the route makes it all worth it. Overall, it's an incredibly rewarding race to complete, and I highly recommend it!

I’ve run the Logan Peak Trail Run two years in a row, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite events. The race is extremely well organized, and the course is easy to follow with clear markings in all the tricky spots. The volunteers are always friendly and supportive, and the mountain views are incredible throughout the day. The finish line atmosphere is great as well with good food, cold drinks, and a welcoming, community feel at the park. The whole event has a homegrown charm, and it’s a race I’ll always be excited to come back to
